The Order of Placement
What is the order of placement?
Like most things in our life, we need order at the time we are preparing our stroke.
At the azuline Golf Academy we think that the most correct order is to start by placing the golf-club that we decided to use behind the ball, respecting the angle of the club face (loft) and that of the base (lie). Next, we will place the body in front of the golf-club (stance) and finally proceed to take hold of the golf-club (grip).
Therefore, the order to follow to get a great swing would be as follows:
Step 1: We place the golf club correctly, aiming at the objective and respecting its configuration. In golf, the placement of the golf club is called “grip”, so the grip is something very important to ensure the success of your stroke.
Step 2: We place our body, hence the importance of the stance, in front of the golf-club and in a comfortable position we prepare for our swing.
Step 3: We take hold of the golf club, take a last look at the objective and make our ‘stroke of luck!’
In the last two steps, you can change the order at your convenience but always take into account that the positioning of the golf club goes first.
What purpose does the order of placement serve?
If we manage to do the steps well, we guarantee a high percentage of success, since we will be at the correct distance from the ball and with a posture that will allow us to perform a good swing.
Why is the order of placement so important?
The order of placement will always help us to be in front of the ball in more or less the same position; that is to say, at the same distance with the golf-club we have, the same posture, the same position of the ball with respect to our feet and therefore, we will guarantee a more stable swing and a much better result with our strokes.
