Amateur and professional golfers are different from the very beginning, at the teeing ground.
The outing of a professional player is from the white mark or the blue mark for a Lady golfer.On the other hand, the outing of an amateur golfer is from the yellow marker for men and the red one for the ladies.
The white marker is always the furthermost away from the Hole and the red is the nearest.

Nowadays as it has been proven, for amateur golfers, apart from their tee, their first stroke and the respective distances from the hole, they also differ from the professionals in their decisions of how to make their stroke.

“Don´t rush your stroke”
A professional golfer never makes the decision of which club to use until he has actually arrived at the exact point from where he is going to make his next play. Therefore, he can calculate how the wind influences the ball, how the ball is lined up in the grass how it will be in comparison with his swing etc.
The desire of an amateur player to actually make his stroke, normally leads to a tendency towards making a too hasty decision about which club to use;because he can more or less see where his ball could land from far away.You should never do this, wait to see your ball and then make a calculated decision from the actual position of the ball.
This is a very important recommendation against having a preconceived idea of which club to play with and leading to a better result when you do make your golf stroke.
