The alignment in golf is the way we position ourselves and aim with our whole body and with the club towards the green, that’s mean, towards our objective in each golf shot. It seems simple but it is not easy and many times an oversight in the lineup could be the cause of our failure in the golf shot. Golf is a very technical sport in which each factor will influence our success. A correct alignment will allow us to make good swings and as a consequence, get better shots.
What do you have to take into account for a good alignment in golf?
To get a good alignment, start by getting behind the ball with respect to the goal, analyze the distance, the wind, choose the suit and decide your strategy. Next, take a reference point that you can easily see. There are players with the reference point close to the ball and others have their reference point far away, so try yourself and choose what helps you the most.
Getting a good alignment, is the next step to get a good shot. Above all, to achieve a regularity and that our shots end in the desired objective.
To get a good alignment the first thing is to come behind the ball and focus well by taking a line in front of the ball. With the club we mark a point in front of the ball and this helps us to align ourselves. Another help is with the club on the tip of the feet that points towards the objective.
In alignment, the most important thing is that the club face points where we want; that the shoulders, hips, knees and feet are parallel to our goal and that the position of the ball between the feet is properly placed.
I hope this advice has helped you.
